MdE, Inc. Attends National Police Week in Washington, DC

National Police Week is a half-a-century-old tradition established to honor police officers who died in the line of duty. Since President John F. Kennedy designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day back in 1962, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers and their supporters gather annually in Washington, DC.

The staff of MdE, Inc. is attending this event Wednesday for the 27th Annual Candlelight Vigil and Tuesday during the Police Unity Tour Arrival Ceremony. We participated in the Police Unity Tour Fundraiser back in February and were able to meet up with our friends and clients from LVMPD.

According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, 117 officers died in the line of duty in 2014. If you can’t attend the vigil, you can register to watch the free live broadcast online. And if you want to donate to the fund or honor a fallen officer you knew, you can donate by lighting a virtual candle.
Below are the photos form the event. Big thanks to everyone who came out to support this cause!
